A cozy, 12-seat hidden gem in Jacksonville, Texas, where craftsmanship meets cocktails. Founded by Bud and Anne Farmer, the bar’s name is a nod to Bud’s woodworking background—specifically, the half-blind dovetail joint, a mark of precision and expertise. That same attention to detail carries over to every drink poured at Half Blind, where craft cocktails, top-shelf liquor, fine wine, and quality beer are served with care. Intimate, inviting, and built on a foundation of true craftsmanship, Half Blind Bar is a tribute to both the art of woodworking and the art of a well-made drink.
Find Us & How It Works
We are located on the back side of Food and Table in Jacksonville, Texas. To enter, please park on Main Street and walk down the alley between Main StrEAT Plaza and Miles Barber Shop. Enter through the wooden Half Blind doors. Upon arrival, you will be greeted at the door. The bar seats 12 people and it is first come, first serve.
We do allow reservations at 4:00pm, 6:00pm, and 8:00pm for parties of 6 or less. A $25 deposit is required. The deposit is charged if cancelled after 10:00 am day of reservation and/or after 10 minutes of your reservation if you are late/no-show. There is a 2 hour seating max for reservation and non-reservation seatings.
There is no standing room. If we do not have enough seats for your group when you arrive, you can be added to our waiting list. You will receive a text when your seats are ready. You have 15 minutes to claim your seats before they are offered to the next group on the list.
